Tumbleweed will be the new short film by award winning filmmakers Sam Donovan &
Andrew Yerlett and cinematographer Fabian Wagner (BBC's Hustle & Ashes to Ashes). And we
need your help to get it made!
Why make this story...
A glimpse into the world of American Muscle Cars in the UK was all it took to persuade us
to delve deeper. What we found blew us away; power, emotions, relationships, excitement
and passion. It's almost cinematic in scope. We desperately want to celebrate that world and,
taking films like Vanishing Point and Two Lane Black Top as our cue, we're going to do just
that and with a British twist... but we can't do it without you!
Tumbleweed will be a funny, touching and high octane film that will have audiences left on the
edges of their seat and wanting more.
But we need your help...
To make this film, we need £15k which we are raising through a variety of sources –
filmmakers themselves, friends and family, and sponsorship.
We are ideally looking for several key sponsors to get involved, but involvement of the American
Muscle Car & Americana community we feel is key to making this film a success...
Synopsis
When Junior (28) takes brother Pancho (11) out in his Dodge Challenger, it's the last ride they'll take
as brothers, as Junior's past catches up by way of a relentless pursuing gang of Trans-Ams. Before he
can face them in a gripping showdown, he must reveal his darkest secret to his idolising younger brother.
Where will it play?
The film will not only act as a pilot for a feature film but will be sent around the world on the
film festival circuit before being played on the internet. The film makers aim to do for the Muscle
Car what Guy Ritchie and Tony Scott did for BMW with their short films. Click here to see.
